QIS 4 Star Rated Two Years and Running

The four star rating is the highest possible program rating. The Quality Improvement System (QIS) is a comprehensive, voluntary early care and education improvement and support system. This program ensures the highest in-classroom standards possible. Both our pre-school and afterschool programs are QIS monitored. Passing VPK School Readiness Ratings

The Voluntary Pre-K school readiness rating is a number rating schools performance on a series of test performed as children from the VPK program enter kindergarten.The Voluntary Pre-K school readiness rating is a number rating schools performance on a series of test performed as children from the VPK program enter kindergarten. To have a passing score, children must demonstrate competencies in special, numerical, and vocabulary and pronunciation tasks. Attending a preschool with a passing VPK School Readiness ratings ensures your child is receiving high quality Pre-K preparations.

DCF Child Care Services Gold Seal Quality of Care Recipient

Tiny Tots Infant RoomThe DCF Child Care Program Office is responsible for approving accrediting agencies for participation in the Gold Seal Quality Care Program. "These accrediting agencies must meet or exceed the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) standards, the standards of the National Association of Family Child Care, or the standards of the National Early Childhood Program Accreditation Commission.

The Gold Seal Quality Care Program does not contain a set of independent standards; rather, it is a level of care that exceeds the minimum licensing standards by meeting the higher standards set by the approved accrediting agencies.

APPLE Accredited

APPLE serves to ensure the quality of care provided by a child care facility. "The two-step accreditation process, a self-study followed by a verification visit, is an evaluation of the indicators of quality as reflected in each individual program. All components of a program are examined including: Administration, classroom environment, parent and community involvement, advocacy on behalf of children and child care, staffing credentials, staff to child ratios, teacher/child interaction, literacy and curriculum. Tiny Tots is currently a member in good standing with APPLE.

10 Years of NAEYC Accreditation

The National Association for the Education of Young Children is dedicated to improving the well being of all young children, with a particular focus on the quality of education and development services for all children birth through 8. Although Tiny Tots is no longer affiliated with NAEYC, we were for 10 years, and the company voluntarily un involved itself to pursue APPLE accreditation over curriculum concerns. However, we were a member in good standing for 10 years, which is a testament to our devotion to quality.

USDA/Child Care Food Program Participant

USDA/Child Care Food Program ParticipantThis program provides nutritious meals and snacks to children through public-private partnerships with organizations committed to caring for children. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service. Participation in this program means adherence to stringent nutritional guidelines, which means all meals served at Tiny Tots are balanced and nutritious!

Both of these programs serve to provide resources to keep children safe while in their communities. Tiny Tots is a proud participant in both of these programs. We host onsite meetings for parents to receive information and recourses for community child safety from both of these organizations.
